NORWEGIAN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
The NTNU at Trondheim is one of the best Norwegian Universities both in terms of graduate/post-graduate education and research quality. About 3000 persons are employed for performing research and education, it has totally 7 faculties divided in 52 departments. Technology and natural sciences are NTNU’s fundamental strength. One of the research direction within Department of Biotechnology at NTNU is food quality assessment.
The department of biotechnology, NTNU performS the characterization of the waste streams using chemical and biochemical methods (content and properties of proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, minerals etc.) (WP1). NTNU will also apply high resolution NMR spectroscopy and MALDI TOF TOF mass-spectrometry to identify the content of possible bioactive compounds in analyzed wastewater samples (WP3). NTNU will also contribute to dissemination activities (WP7).
